FENNEL IN SHERRY

The fennel in sherry is filled with delectable ingredients to fulfill your food cravings. Preparing this special and mouth-watering dish doesn’t mean that you need to spend a lot of time and money. This recipe is extremely best for home owners with tight budget.

20 minutes

Cooking Time :
25 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Melt the butter or margarine, uncovered, on Defrost for 2 - 3 minutes. Gently beat in the remaining ingredients.
  • Quarter each head of fennel and place in a deep 25 cm / 10 in diameter dish.
  • Coat with the butter mixture. Cover with a plate and cook on Full for 22 minutes, turning the dish 3 times.
  • Allow to stand for 6 minutes before serving.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 kg fennel, washed, dried and brown areas discarded
  • 50 grams butter or margarine
  • 2 teaspoons French mustard
  • 2 tablespoons medium-dry sherry
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ teaspoon dried tarragon
