BRAISED CHICORY

Preparation Method :
- Cut the chicory into thick slices and put in a 6 cups Dutch oven.
- Melt the butter on Defrost for 2 minutes. Pour over the chicory. Crumble the stock cube into the boiling water, then add the salt and lemon juice.
- Spoon over the chicory. Cover with clingfilm and slit it to allow steam to escape. Cook on Full for 10 minutes, turning the dish 3 times.
- Allow to stand at least for 2 minutes before serving.

- 4 heads chicory
- Trimmed, outer leaves and cone shaped core from the base, discarded to reduce bitterness.
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1 vegetable stock cube
- 1 tablespoon boiling water
- ½ teaspoon onion salt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
