CORN DOG

Preparation Method :

  • Dry the hot dogs with a paper towel. Put one stick into each hot dog.
  • Mix the flour, baking powder, sugar, chilli powder and salt together into a large bowl.
  • Beat the milk, eggs and oil together in a separate bowl.
  • Pour the above milk mixture into the dry ingredients and mix it well.
  • Heat the oil in a deep-frying pan.
  • Pour batter into a tall pitcher or glass.
  • Coat the hot dog by dipping into the batter then place it in the deep fryer and fry it until light brown colour appears (turn it once).
  • Remove it from the frying pan and place it on paper towel to absorb excess oil
  • Repeat the same procedure with remaining hot dogs.
  • Serve it hot with ketchup. 

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 Hot dogs
  • 125 ml cornmeal
  • 60 gram flour
  • 125 ml milk
  • 1/2 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 30 ml Cooking oil
  • Cooking oil for deep frying
  • Wooden stick
