APPLE CRUMBLE

Preparation Time :
10 minutes

Cooking Time :
45 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Mix flour, sugar and butter in a large bowl. Mix them until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
  • Place the fruit in a large bowl and sprinkle over the sugar, flour and cinnamon.
  • Gently stir it without mashing the fruit.
  • Place the fruit mixture in a greased oven proof dish and then cover it with the crumble mixture on top.
  • Bake in the pre- heated oven at 150 degree Celsius for 40-45 minutes until the crumble is browned and the fruit mixture bubbling.
  • Serve with thick cream or custard or ice cream. 

INGREDIENTS

Crumble

  • 150 grams plain flour, sieved pinch of salt
  • 50 grams unrefined brown sugar
  • 110 grams butter (cube at room temperature)

Filling

  • 225 grams apples (peeled, cored and cut into small pieces)
  • 25 grams unrefined brown sugar
  • 1 table spoon plain flour
  • 1 tea spoon of ground cinnamon
