BAKED ONION QUICHE STARTERS

Preparation Method :
- Mix the flour and salt into a bowl.
- Stir in the butter until the mixture is like fine breadcrumbs.
- Add then add water gradually and form the mixture into a ball.
- Put it on a lightly floured board, roll it out and use it to line 4 quiche rings or flan dishes which are 11 cm each.
- Cook the onion rings in the oil in a pan until they soften.
- Beat the eggs and add the milk, salt and pepper and cheese.
- Divide the onions between the 4 quiches.
- Pour over the egg mixture. Bake in a moderately hot oven for half an hour.
INGREDIENTS
Pastry
- 500 grams plain flour
- 200 grams butter
- 4 tablespoons water
- Pinch of salt
Filling
- 200 grams Cheddar cheese, grated
- 4 eggs
- 300 ml milk
- 4 onions, sliced into rings
- 4 tablespoons Cooking oil
- Salt and pepper
- Coriander and onion rings for garnishing
