CHILI PASTE BAKED CRAB

Serves :
3

Preparation Time :
20 minutes

Cooking Time :
50 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Chop each sea crab into 4 pieces then gently pound to break the shell.
  • Mix the chili paste, brown sugar, fish sauce, oyster sauce, oil and garlic together.
  • Mix the crab with the mixture prepared in step 2 then set aside for 15-20 minutes.
  • Place the crab into a clay pot or a pan with a lid. Add water and bake for 20 minutes on low heat then take off lid.
  • Garnish with sweet basil leaves and cayenne pepper then bake for another 3 minutes. Remove from oven and arrange on a serving dish. Serve immediately.

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Large-size sea crabs   
  • 100 grams Chili paste    
  • 1 tablespoon Brown sugar    
  • 1 tablespoon Fish sauce    
  • 2 tablespoon Oyster sauce    
  • 2 tablespoon IDHAYAM Sesame oil   
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic, finely chopped    
  • 100 ml Water    
  • 100 grams Sweet basil leaves    
  • 2 pieces of each Red and yellow cayenne pepper, diagonally sliced
