STIR-FRIED BEANS WITH ALMONDS

Serves :

Preparation Time :
45 minutes

Cooking Time :
5 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a heavy-based frying pan and add the frozen beans.
  • Stir and cook the beans over a medium heat for 3 minutes, then add the sugar and stock or wine.
  • Simmer the mixture for another 2 minutes, and then stir in the corn flour (cornstarch) and soy sauce mixture, and salt and pepper to taste.
  • Use two forks to toss the beans until lightly coated with the sauce. Add the almonds.

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 500 gram frozen sliced or whole beans
  • 2 teaspoon sugar
  • 4 tablespoons chicken stock or white wine
  • 2 teaspoon corn flour, mixed with
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce 
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper 
  • 50 gram toasted almonds
