Preparation Method :
- Wash the aubergine (eggplant) and cut off the stalk end. Cut into 2 cm / ¾ inch thick slices, place in a bowl and sprinkle with salt. Leave for 20 minutes.
- Mix together the garlic, onion and oil or melted butter.
- Rinse the aubergine (eggplant) slices, then pat dry with kitchen paper towels. Arrange on a greased baking sheet and brush with the oil or butter mixture.
- Grill (broil) the aubergine (eggplant) under medium heat for 5 minutes, basting once, then turn, brush again and cook for 2 to 3 minutes more.
