STOVED POTATOES WITH GARLIC

Preparation Method :
- Scrub the potatoes well, rubbing off any loose skin. Arrange them in one layer in a large heavy-based frying pan (skillet), or place in an earthenware potato pot.
 - Add the water, dot the butter over the top and sprinkle with the garlic. Season well with salt and pepper.
 - Place the lid on the pan - it must fit tightly, if it doesn't, cover the pan with foil first. Simmer very gently for about 30 to 40 minutes until the potatoes are cooked.
 - Shake the pan often to prevent sticking, and add just a drop more water if you think it is necessary.

- 1 kg even-size new potatoes
 - 2 tablespoon water
 - 80 gram butter
 - 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
 - Salt and freshly ground pepper
