STEAMED POTATOES WITH GARLIC CREAM SAUCE

Serves :
4

Preparation Time :
15 minutes

Cooking Time :
45 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Boil the water in pan, add garlic and half the parsley.
  • Place potatoes in steamer basket in pan, cover, cook about 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
  • Drain, reserve garlic. Serve potatoes with garlic cream sauce.

Garlic Cream Sauce:

  • Crush reserved garlic. Heat butter in pan, add garlic and onion, cook, stirring, until onion is soft.
  • Stir in thyme, crème fraiche and remaining parsley; reheat without boiling.

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 ml water
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 750 grams new baby potatoes

Garlic Cream Sauce

  • 20 grams butter
  • 100 grams red Spanish onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
  • 150 ml creme fraiche
