CARAWAY POTATOES AND SWEDES IN CREAM

Preparation Method :

  • Grease ovenproof dish (2 litre/8 cup capacity).
  • Cut Swedes into thin strips.
  • Place Swedes in prepared dish, sprinkle with seeds, top with potatoes, sprinkle with cheese.
  • Carefully pour cream over cheese.
  • Cover dish with foil, bake in moderate oven 45 minutes; remove foil, bake further 45 minutes or until potatoes are tender and browned.

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams Swedes, peeled
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 1 kg old potatoes, peeled, thinly sliced
  • 100 grams grated tasty cheddar cheese
  • 250 ml cream
