Preparation Method :
- Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Add garlic and fry until soft, about 1 minute.
- Add beans, sage, salt and pepper and cook, stirring often, until beans are heated through, about 2 minutes.
- Remove to a food processor and coarsely process, adding a little reserved bean liquid, if needed, to make a spreadable paste.
- Toast French bread slices in a toaster or on a baking sheet in a preheated 180°C (350°F) oven until golden, about 5 minutes per side.
- Spread each toast with some of the beans and top with a strip of roasted sweet pepper or sun-dried tomato.

- 500 grams can cannellini or haricot beans, drained
- 3 Tablespoon finely chopped fresh sage
- 15 slices French bread
- 50 grams roasted red sweet pepper strips
