- Cook the Swede (rutabaga) and potatoes separately in boiling salted water; drain well.
- Heat the fat in a pan, add the Swede (rutabaga) and potatoes and mash well, adding enough milk to give a creamy texture.
- Add salt and freshly ground pepper to taste. Spoon into a heated serving bowl and sprinkle with finely chopped parsley.
