HOUMOUS WITH PITTA POINTS

Preparation Method :

  • Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
  • Cut each pitta bread into 8 triangles and place on a baking sheet. Bake until slightly crisp, 10-15 minutes. Set aside.
  • Drain chick-peas, reserving liquid. In a food processor, puree chick-peas with tahini, lemon juice, garlic, oil, cumin, salt, and chilli powder.
  • Spoon into a bowl and garnish with parsley, paprika, and the rest of the olive oil. Serve with the toasted pitta triangles. 

INGREDIENTS

  • 5 pitta breads
  • 500 grams chick-peas
  • 2 Tablespoon tahini
  • 100 ml lemon juice
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 100 ml sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 5 Tablespoon finely chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
  • 2 teaspoon paprika
