GREEN PEARS BAKED WITH STILTON CHEESE

30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Use the butter to grease a baking dish just large enough to hold pears. Place pear halves in dish, cut side up, and drizzle with lemon juice. Fill cavity of each pear half with 1 mounded Tablespoon cheese.
  • Bake pears for 15 minutes, then melt the remaining 3 teaspoon butter and brush pears with it. Bake until fork-tender, about 10 more minutes. Serve warm, garnished with watercress. 

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 teaspoon butter, softened
  • 4 green pears, such as Anjou halved and cored
  • 2 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • 100 grams Stilton cheese at room temperature
  • Watercress sprigs or rocket leaves for garnish
