BUTTERED TURNIPS WITH MUSTARD

Preparation Method :

  • Cut the turnips into sticks like potato chips (French fries). Drop into boiling salted water and simmer for 10 to 12 minutes, or until just tender. Drain thoroughly.
  • Heat the butter in a heavy pan and stir in the salt and mustard.
  • Add the turnips and turn gently until they are coated. Fold the chopped parsley through and serve.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 gram young turnips 
  • 50 gram butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt 
  • 2 tablespoon French mustard 
  • 2 tablespoon chopped parsley
