VEGETABLE MORNAY

Preparation Method :

  • Melt the margarine in a saucepan and add the flour. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring.
  • Gradually add enough milk to make a fairly thick sauce. Stir in the cheese and salt and pepper to taste.
  • When the cheese begins to melt, add the cooked vegetables and cook, stirring, for 5 minutes.
  • Alternatively, sprinkle with the cheese and place under a preheated hot grill until lightly browned.

INGREDIENTS

  • 30 grams margarine
  • 30 grams plain flour
  • 500 ml skimmed milk
  • 200 grams cheese, grated
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 750 grams mixed cooked vegetables, prepared and diced
