SPICY STIR-FRIED VEGETABLES

This is a simple vegetable dish from northern China that combines ginger and chillies. Other vegetables, or a combination of vegetables, can be used with the basic recipe

Preparation Time :
15 minutes

Cooking Time :
20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil and stir-fry the chillies and ginger for 10 seconds.
  • Add the vegetables and stir-fry for 3 more minutes.
  • Add the water, bring to the boil, cover and cook until the vegetables are done but still crisp (5 to 8 minutes).
  • Stir in the cornflour mixture and continue stirring until the sauce is thick and clear.
  • Serve Hot.

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 5 tablespoon IDHAYAM Sesame oil
  • 6 dried red chillies, torn into pieces
  • 2 teaspoon fresh ginger, peeled
  • 100 grams broccoli
  • 100 grams cauliflower
  • 100 grams florets
  • 100 grams carrot
  • 50 gram onion
  • 100 grams peas
  • 100 yellow pepper
  • 2 tablespoon cornflour mixed with 3 tablespoon water
