DANISH RED CABBAGE

Preparation Time :
30 minutes

Cooking Time :
50 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a large pan.
  • Add the cabbage, onion, apple, caraway seeds, vinegar, salt, pepper and stock.
  • Stir well and cover with a lid.
  • Allow to cook gently for 40 to 45 minutes, stirring or shaking from time to time.
  • Garnish decoratively with parsley. 

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tablespoon Cooking oil
  • 2 medium red cabbage, trimmed and finely shredded
  • 2 large onion, peeled and finely sliced
  • 2 large cooking apple, skinned, cored and sliced
  • 2 tablespoon caraway seeds
  • 4 tablespoons wine vinegar
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable stock
  • Chopped parsley, to garnish
