CABBAGE BRAISED WITH APPLE AND YOGURT

Preparation Time :
20 minutes

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Put half the cabbage in a baking dish.
  • Sprinkle with half the onion and apple and salt and pepper to taste. Spoon over half the yogurt.
  • Add the remaining cabbage, then top with the remaining apple and onion and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Spoon over the remaining yogurt and sprinkle with the nutmeg.
  • Bake in a preheated moderately hot oven for about 20 minutes or until the cabbage is just tender.
  • Serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 750 grams cabbage, shredded
  • 2 onion, peeled and grated
  • 2 cooking apple, peeled, cored and grated
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground white pepper
  • 300 ml plain low-fat yogurt
  • Pinch of grated nutmeg
