SESAME FISH BALLS

Preparation Method :

  • Mix the stale breadcrumbs, yogurt, egg yolks, onion, garlic, ginger, cumin, chilli and coriander in a bowl.
  • Process the fish until smooth and transfer to a bowl, stir in the yogurt mixture and mix well.
  • Shape the mixture into 20-24 balls, dip into lightly beaten egg whites; coat balls firmly with combined breadcrumbs and sesame seed, refrigerate for about 20-30 minutes.
  • Deep-fry balls in hot oil until golden brown; drain on absorbent paper and serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams boneless white fish fillets, chopped, steamed and cooled to room temperature
  • 150 grams stale breadcrumb 
  • 50 grams plain yogurt
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 100 grams packaged breadcrumbs
  • 1 brown onion, chopped finely
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 30 grams sesame seeds 
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon chilli powder
  • 25 grams chopped fresh coriander
  • Salt, to taste
  • Peanut oil for deep-frying
