Preparation Method :
- Mix the stale breadcrumbs, yogurt, egg yolks, onion, garlic, ginger, cumin, chilli and coriander in a bowl.
- Process the fish until smooth and transfer to a bowl, stir in the yogurt mixture and mix well.
- Shape the mixture into 20-24 balls, dip into lightly beaten egg whites; coat balls firmly with combined breadcrumbs and sesame seed, refrigerate for about 20-30 minutes.
- Deep-fry balls in hot oil until golden brown; drain on absorbent paper and serve hot.
INGREDIENTS
- 500 grams boneless white fish fillets, chopped, steamed and cooled to room temperature
- 150 grams stale breadcrumb
- 50 grams plain yogurt
- 2 eggs, separated
- 100 grams packaged breadcrumbs
- 1 brown onion, chopped finely
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 30 grams sesame seeds
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
- ½ teaspoon chilli powder
- 25 grams chopped fresh coriander
- Salt, to taste
- Peanut oil for deep-frying
