Preparation Method :
- Place the lamb in a bowl and sprinkle with the lemon juice.
- Drop the yogurt, chopped onions, garlic, vinegar, turmeric, salt and black pepper in a food processor and process until mixture is blended.
- Pour over the lamb, toss to coat, cover and marinate overnight.
- Thread the cubes of meat onto the skewers, alternating with the green or red pepper and quartered onions.
- Barbecue or grill the kebabs, turning frequently until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve hot, garnished with lemon quarters.
INGREDIENTS
- 150 grams natural yogurt
- 2 onions, chopped
- 750 grams boned lamb shoulder or leg, cut into small cubes
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- Juice of 1 lemon
- ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 green or red pepper, cored, seeded and cut medium size squares
- 2 onions, quartered
- Freshly ground black pepper and Salt, to taste
- 1 lemon, quartered, for garnish
