HAM MOUSSE AVOCADOS

Preparation Time :
45 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Cut the ham into small pieces, place in a blender or food processor fitted with the steel blade and process until smooth.
  • Place the ham in a bowl and stir in the mayonnaise, salt and cayenne to taste, softened butter and port or brandy. Beat until smooth and chill for 1 hour.
  • Halve the avocado, remove the stone (seed) and sprinkle with lemon juice. Spoon the ham mousse into the cavities, mounding it up.
  • Garnish with mint and serve with buttered brown bread.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams cooked ham
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • Salt
  • Cayenne pepper
  • 50 gram butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoon port or brandy
  • 2 large ripe avocados
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Fresh mint leaves to garnish
