TEMPURA VEGETABLES

Preparation Method :

  • Peel the carrot and cut it into baton. Trim and slice the mushrooms. Slice the onion into rings.
  • Trim the broccoli and cauliflower into florets and blanch, then drain well.
  • The Batter: Sift the flour and salt into a bowl. Beat in the eggs, then the warm water.
  • Heat the oil in a deep pan. Dip the prepared vegetables into the batter and then cook in the hot oil, in batches, turning once.
  • Drain on kitchen paper and keep warm. Serve hot with a dipping sauce.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 kg mixed vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, carrot, 
  • mushrooms, onion)
  • peanut oil, for deep-frying

Batter

  • 200 ml warm water
  • 300 grams plain flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 eggs
