HOT CORNED BEEF ON RYE

Preparation Method :
- Toast the bread on one side only. Mix together the mayonnaise, ketchup, Tabasco (hot pepper) sauce, onions (scallions) and salt and pepper to taste.
- Spread on untoasted side of bread. Divide sauerkraut evenly between slices and top with corned beef and cheese.
- Grill (broil) for about 5 minutes until the cheese is melted.
- Serve immediately.
INGREDIENTS
- 8 thick slices rye bread
- 8 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 4 teaspoons tomato ketchup dash of Tabasco sauce
- 4 spring onions, chopped
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
- 200 grams sauerkraut, rinsed and well drained
- 8 slices corned beef
- 8 slices Gruyere or Jarlsberg cheese
