DANISH SURPRISE

Preparation Method :

  • Lightly toast the bread and spread with butter blended with horseradish to taste. Cover with alternate strips of smoked salmon, herring and lumpfish roe.
  • Serve at once, topped with a spoonful of sour cream and a sprig of fresh dill or parsley.

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 slices rye bread butter, softened grated horseradish
  • 100 grams smoked salmon, cut into thin slices
  • 2 Bismarck (pickled) herring fillet, cut into thin strips
  • 30 grams lumpfish roe
  • 4 tablespoons soured cream
  • 4 sprigs dill weed or parsley
