PRAWNS WITH TOMATOES

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a saucepan. Add the onions and fry until golden brown.
  • Add the spice paste to the onions, simmer to low flame and cook, stirring for about 3-5 minutes
  • Add the tomatoes, tomato juice and the green pepper and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add the prawns to the pan and cook the mixture for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with plain boiled rice.

INGREDIENTS

  • 400 grams prawns, cleaned, washed and drained
  • 250 grams onions, sliced
  • 400 grams tomatoes
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 50 ml Cooking oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves, to garnish

Spicy Paste

  • 1½ inch fresh ginger root, finely chopped
  • 4-6 fresh garlic cloves, crushed
  • Salt and chilli powder, to taste
