Preparation Method :
- Heat the oil in a heavy-bottomed pan, add the onions and fry till golden. Add the tomatoes and mix very well.
- Add the prawns with all the other ingredients and the ground masala paste except the vinegar and jaggery. Fry for about 2-3 minutes.
- Add measured water and cook covered for 5-7 minutes or until the gravy thickens. Add the vinegar and jaggery and simmer to low flame and cook for another 2 more minutes.
INGREDIENTS
- 300 grams Fresh prawns shelled, washed and drained
- 175 grams Tomato puree
- 150 grams Onions thinly sliced
- 100 ml Cooking oil
- 3 teaspoon Curry powder
- 3 teaspoon Vinegar
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- ¼ teaspoon Turmeric powder
- Chilli powder, to taste
- Salt to taste
Grind to a fine paste
- 3-4 cloves Garlic
- 3-4 Green chillies
- 3 tablespoon Coriander leaves
