Preparation Method :
- Heat the oil in a pan. Add the fennel seeds and fry for half a minute.
- Add the prepared spice paste, chilli powder and salt, fry for about 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the tamarind juice, stir well and bring to the boil, then simmer for about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the prawns, cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes or until cooked through, stirring occasionally. Serve hot.
INGREDIENTS
- 500 grams large raw peeled prawns
- 250 ml hot water
- 250 ml tamarind juice
- 2 tablespoons Cooking oil
- 1 teaspoon fennel seeds
- Chilli powder and salt, to taste
Ground to Paste
- 25 grams fresh coriander leaves
- 1 onion, roughly chopped
- 2-3 green chillies
- 2 garlic cloves
