PRAWN PULAO WITH GREEN PEAS

Preparation Method :
- Marinate the prawns with salt and turmeric powder to the ground masala paste for about an hour or two.
- Heat the oil in a pan and deep fry the prawns in batches and drain. Reserve the marinade.
- Heat spoonful of oil in a large heavy-bottomed pan and fry the onion till golden brown.
- Add the whole garam masala, cumin seeds and stir for a minute. Add peas, the drained rice and stir for 2 minutes.
- Add the reserved marinade with enough water to cook the rice and peas. Add salt and cook till the rice is done. Stir in the fried prawns and serve piping hot.
INGREDIENTS
- 500 grams Basmati rice, washed and soaked
- 14 - 16 Big prawns, shelled, deveined, rinsed and drained
- 100 grams Green peas shelled
- 100 grams Potato chopped
- 100 grams Onion finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 6 Green cardamoms
- 1" piece Cinnamon, broken into bits
- 4-6 Cloves
- Cooking oil as required
- Salt to taste
Grind to a fine paste
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon Ginger
- 1 pod Garlic
- 6 Green chillies
