TWO-FISH CASSEROLE

The two fish casserole often includes dried penne or macaroni, egg, spinach leaves, double cream, milk, undyed smoked haddock, skinned white fish and other extra ingredients. Every bite of macaroni is tendered with tasty and delicious elements that mark to all people.

Preparation Method :

  • Preheat the oven. Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the packet, until tender.
  • Drain well. Toss in oil.
  • Bring a small saucepan of water to the boil and add the egg.
  • Cook for 8-10 minutes, until the egg is hard boiled. Cool the egg under cold running water.
  • Heat the oil in a heavy-based frying pan.
  • Add the onion and saute for 5 minutes, until softened, then add the celery and carrot and saute for 3 minutes.
  • Add the spinach and cook for a further 2 minutes, until tender.
  • Stir in the milk and cream and bring to the boil. Turn off the heat and stir in the Cheddar cheese, mustard, parsley and lemon juice.
  • Place the fish in a small ovenproof dish. Shell and chop the hard-boiled egg and spoon it over the fish, then top with the sauce.
  • Arrange the pasta over the top and sprinkle with the mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, until brown on top.

INGREDIENTS

  • 100 grams dried penne or macaroni
  • 3 teaspoon olive oil, plus extra for coating pasta
  • 2 egg
  • 2 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 small celery stick, finely chopped
  • 2 small carrot, peeled and finely chopped
  • Spinach leaves, tough stalks removed and finely shredded
  • 200 ml milk
  • 3 tablespoon double cream
  • 50 grams mature Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon English mustard
  • 2 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley
  • Squeeze of fresh lemon juice
  • 100 grams undyed smoked haddock, skinned and boned
  • 150 grams white fish, skinned and boned
  • 100 grams mozzarella cheese, diced
