Preparation Method :
- Marinate the fish with salt in a wooden bowl for a day. Remove the fish slices, wipe dry with a clean cloth and dry for 2-3 days.
- Add the vinegar to the ground masala paste and mix well. Dip each slice of fish in the vinegar mixture till well-coated and place in a clean glass jar, one slice over another.
- Pour the remaining vinegar mixture on top of the fish. Cover with a vinegar-proof tight fitting lid.
- Remove the fish pieces and fry in hot oil and serve.
INGREDIENTS
- 400 ml Weak vinegar
- 1 kg Seer fish, cleaned, cut into thin slices and rinsed
- 100 grams Salt
Grind to a fine paste with little vinegar
- 60 grams Garlic
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 10 - 12 Long dry chillies
- 12 - 15 Short dry chillies
- Small ball Tamarind
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
