Preparation Method :
- Marinate the fish pieces with turmeric powder and salt for about half an hour. Heat the oil in a large pan, fry the onion seeds and curry leaves till the seeds crackle.
- Add the fish pieces, fry them lightly. Add the ground masala paste, salt, two cups of water. Cook till the gravy thickens.
- Serve hot with steamed rice, garnished with green chillies and coriander leaves.
INGREDIENTS
- 750 grams Rohu fish, cleaned, cut into pieces, rinsed and drained
- 75 ml Mustard oil
- 4-6 Green chillies finely chopped
- 2 tablespoon Coriander leaves finely chopped
- ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon Onion seeds
- Few Curry leaves
- Salt to taste
Grind to a fine paste
- 1 Raw mango, peeled and chopped
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 9 cloves Garlic
- 1 teaspoon Poppy seeds
- 5-6 Kashmiri chillies
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
