KLIATTA - KLIATTA RAWAS

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a heavy-bottomed pan. Fry the fish pieces till golden brown. Remove from heat, drain and set aside.
  • Heat the oil in a heavy-bottomed pan, add the curry leaves, turmeric powder and the ground masala paste. Fry till the oil separates.
  • Add the fish along with the tomato puree, lemon juice and salt. Stir very gently till well mixed. Bring to a boil, remove from flame.
  • Make sure not to break the fish pieces Serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 10-12 medium size Rawas pieces, cleaned, rinsed, drained and marinated with salt   
  • 250 grams Tomato puree    
  • 50 ml Cooking oil
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice        
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder        
  • Few Curry leaves
  • Salt to taste

Grind to a fine paste

  • 1" piece Ginger    
  • 9-10 cloves Garlic    
  • 4-6 Red chillies    
  • 3-4 Spring onions    
  • ½ teaspoon Fenugreek seeds
