Preparation Method :
- Marinate the fish with salt and turmeric powder for about half an hour. Wash thoroughly and drain.
- Add tomatoes, milk and a tablespoon of oil to the ground masala paste. Add the drained fish pieces and mix well, marinate for an hour.
- Heat the remaining oil in a large pan, add the fish pieces along with the marinade, salt to taste and slit green chillies. Cook on a low flame till the fish is tender.
INGREDIENTS
- 750 grams Hilsa fish pieces, cleaned and rinsed
- 2 Tomatoes finely chopped
- 200 ml Milk
- 6 Green chillies, slit lengthwise
- ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 75 ml Cooking oil
- Salt to taste
Grind to a fine paste
- 150 grams Onion
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1 pod Garlic
- 1 " piece Ginger
- 2-3 Green chillies
