PRAWN ROLLS

Preparation Method :

  • Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a heavy bottomed pan and add the onion and ground masala paste. Fry till the oil separates.
  • Add the prawns, vinegar, garam masala powder, salt and coriander leaves. Fry at least for 3 minutes or until well blended. Remove from heat and leave aside to cool.
  • Sieve the flour with chilli powder, turmeric and salt. Add ghee and knead to a thick and stiff dough using little water.
  • Divide the dough and the filling into 6 equal portions.
  • Roll each dough portion into a thin sheet, fill with a portion of the prawn mixture. Roll it lightly and press each end of the roll firmly.
  • Deep fry each roll separately in hot oil. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.

INGREDIENTS

  • 350 grams Prawns, shelled, cleaned, boiled and chopped into small bits
  • 250 grams Flour
  • 1 Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoon Ghee
  • 2 teaspoon Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Chilli powder
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Cooking oil as required
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander leaves, chopped    

Grind to a fine paste

  • 4-6 Green chillies    
  • ½ " piece Ginger    
  • 6 cloves Garlic
