Preparation Method :
- Heat the oil in a heavy bottomed pan. Add the onion and fry till golden brown.
- Add all the other ingredients along with the ground masala paste except prawns and fry for about 2-3 minutes or until the oil separates.
- Add the prawns with enough water to cook them and to have a thick gravy. Cook covered for 10 minutes. Serve hot with steamed rice.
INGREDIENTS
- 500 grams Fresh prawns, shelled, washed and drained
- 100 ml IDHAYAM sesame Oil
- 1 Onion finely chopped
- 200 ml Tomato puree
- 2 tablespoon Curry powder
- ¾ teaspoon Chilli powder
- ¼ teaspoon Turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
Grind to a fine paste
- 1 Onion chopped
- 1" piece Ginger chopped
- 8-9 cloves Garlic
