COCONUT PRAWN GRAVY

Preparation Time :

Cooking Time :
20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a pan and fry the prawns till golden brown. Drain and set aside.
  • In the same oil, fry the chopped onions till golden. Add all the spices and the ground onion. Fry for about one minute.
  • Add the prawns, sugar, salt, coconut milk and cook on a low flame for about 20 minutes or until the prawns turn tender and the gravy is thick.

INGREDIENTS

  • 550 grams Fresh prawns, shelled, deveined, rinsed and drained    
  • 225 ml fresh Coconut milk    
  • 200 ml IDHAYAM sesame Oil
  • 1 Onion ground to a paste    
  • 1 Onion sliced thinly    
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder    
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder    
  • 1 teaspoon Dried ginger powdered    
  • 1 teaspoon Chilli powder        
  • Salt to taste
