Preparation Method :
- Heat the oil in a pot and crackle the mustard seeds; then saute the onions over medium heat till smooth.
- Add garlic and ginger paste. Stir and cook till the liquid evaporates.
- Add coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric and salt. Stir.
- Then add the tomatoes and cook till they are mashed.
- Reduce to low heat, add the coconut paste and the curry leaves. Stir for 2 - 3 minutes.
- Add the prawns and 1½ cups of water. Bring to a boil, reduce to low heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the prawns are cooked.
- Transfer to a bowl, garnish with coriander and serve hot with boiled rice.

- 1 kg Prawns, Shell, devein, washed and dried.
- 75 grams Coconut, grated, Blend with measured water to a paste.
- 4 tablespoon Cooking oil
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 150 grams onions, chopped
- 5 teaspoon Garlic paste
- 2 teaspoon Ginger paste
- 2 teaspoon Coriander powder
- 2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 300 grams Tomatoes, chopped
- 5 teaspoon Green coriander , chopped
- 9 Curry leaves
