Preparation Method :
- Marinate the fish with half of the turmeric powder and salt for about half an hour. Drain the fish fingers and deep fry in hot oil till golden brown.
- Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large pan, add fenugreek seeds and green chillies.
- When the seeds crackle, add tomatoes with salt and remaining turmeric powder and cook till the mixture thickens.
- Add the bottle gourd and stir-cook for another 5 minutes. Add the hot water and bring to a boil. Add the fish fingers and simmer for about 5 minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves.
INGREDIENTS
- 750 grams Rohu fish, cleaned, cut into thick strips, rinsed and drained
- 750 ml Hot water
- 5 small Tomatoes
- 1 Bottle gourd, cut into juliennes
- 6-8 Green chillies, slit
- ½ teaspoon Fenugreek seeds
- ¼ teaspoon Turmeric powder
- IDHAYAM sesame oil
- Salt to taste
- Chopped coriander leaves to garnish
