Preparation Method :
- Add 2 tablespoons oil to the ground masala paste and apply the paste evenly on the fish slices.
- Grease the banana leaf pieces lightly with oil and wrap the fish slices in them.
- Secure each packet with a string and steam for about 15-20 minutes.
- Remove the banana leaf and serve hot.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 kg Rawas or pomfret, cleaned, cut into 4 pieces, rinsed and drained
- 50 ml cooking oil
- 1 Banana leaf, cut into 4 pieces
- Salt to taste
Grind to a fine paste
- 50 grams Coconut, grated
- 1 small Onion, chopped
- ½ teaspoon Coriander seeds, powdered
- ½ teaspoon Cumin seeds, powdered
- Green chillies, to taste
- 6 cloves Garlic
- ½ bunch Coriander leaves
- ½ bunch Mint leaves
- Small piece Jaggery
- Small ball Tamarind
