GRILLED MASALA FISH GRAVY

Preparation Time :
40 minutes

Cooking Time :
25 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Marinate the fish with little salt and turmeric powder for about 20 minutes. Drain well, apply ghee on both sides and grill the fish till well-browned.
  • Combine the coconut milk and ground masala paste. Add curry leaves, turmeric powder and cook till the gravy thickens. Add the grilled fish and cook for about 3-5 more minutes. Serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 kg Pomfrets, whole, cleaned, rinsed, incised
  • 250 ml Thick coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon Ghee
  • ¼ teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • Few Curry leaves        
  • Salt to taste

Grind to a fine paste

  • ¾ teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 bunch Coriander leaves
  • 6 Green chillies
  • 1" piece Ginger
  • 3-4 cloves Garlic
  • 6 Peppercorns
