FISH VINDALOO

Preparation Method :

  • Marinate the fish pieces with salt for about an hour. Drain and fry till golden on all sides. Remove from flame and keep it aside.
  • In the same oil, fry the ground masala paste for about a minute or two.
  • Add the fish, cinnamon, salt and fry for one more minute. Simmer on a low flame for a few minutes.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and cook till the gravy thickens and serve with rice.

INGREDIENTS

  • 750 grams Fish, cleaned, cut into pieces, rinsed and dried    
  • 100 ml Vinegar    
  • 100 ml cooking oil
  • 6 Green chillies finely chopped
  • 1" piece Cinnamon broken into bits    
  • ¾ teaspoon Garam masla powder    
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar        
  • Salt to taste

Grind to a fine paste with little vinegar

  • ½ teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 250 grams Onions finely chopped
  • 5-6 Red chillies chopped
  • 1" piece Ginger
  • 6 cloves Garlic
