FISH IN SPICED YOGURT

Be ready for the most appetizing seafood! The fish in spiced yogurt is made up of fish fillets, ground almonds, ground coriander, turmeric, yogurt and other flavorings. With its appetizing ingredients, you will surely remember its juicy and tasty piece of fish fillets.

Preparation Method :

  • Wash the fillets, dry and cut into large chunks, removing any bones. Combine the pepper and turmeric and rub over the fish.
  • Heat the oil for shallow frying. Seal the fish qui both sides over a high heat. Transfer to a plate.
  • Puree the onions, garlic, ginger, almonds and spices in a blender, adding a little water if necessary to keep the mixture moving.
  • Drain all but oil from the pan and fry the puree, stirring constantly, until the color changes and it smells fragrant.
  • Swirl water in a blender to catch any traces of spices, stir into the yogurt and add.
  • Simmer for a few minutes. Return fish pieces, turning gently to coat with sauce.
  • Add salt to taste. Simmer, covered, for 10 minutes.
  • Serve hot sprinkled with chopped mint and accompanied by rice.

INGREDIENTS

  • 750 grams fish fillets    
  • 2 tablespoons ground almonds
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 3 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • cooking oil for frying
  • 2 medium onions, roughly chopped
  • 125 ml plain yoghurt
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint leaves
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3 teaspoons chopped fresh ginger
