ONION AND GINGER CRAB WITH EGG

The Onion and Ginger crab with egg recipe is very appropriate to prepare to any type of occasion. This dish is made of highly nutritional ingredients such as cooked crabs, garlic, and onion. Once you have prepared this recipe on your dinner, your family will surely love it.

Preparation Method :

  • Separate the claws from each crab and crack them open. Place each crab on its back and firmly pull the body, with the legs attached, away from the shell.
  • Remove and discard the grey stomach sac and the grey feathered gills. Cut the body part into 4 pieces, and sprinkle with the salt and ginger.
  • Combine the soy sauce, chili sauce, sherry and stock together. Heat the oil in a large pan over high heat.
  • Add the onions and garlic. Stir-fry for 30 seconds. Add all the crab pieces, including the body shells, and the spring onions.
  • Stir-fry for 3 to 4 minutes, until cooked through. Pour the soy sauce mixture over the crab pieces and bring to the boil, stirring constantly.
  • Pour the egg into the pan in a thin stream and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
  • Turn the mixture on to a warmed serving dish. Eat by scraping the crabmeat out of the main shells and claws.
  • Garnished with lemon wedges. 

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 small freshly cooked crabs
  • Salt
  • 8 slices root ginger, shredded 
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon chili sauce
  • 4 tablespoons dry sherry
  • 300 ml clear stock
  • 8 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 4 onions, peeled and thinly sliced 
  • 8 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 6 spring onions cut into 1 inch pieces 
  • 2 eggs, beaten
