DRY PRAWN CHUTNEY

Preparation Method :

  • Heat a little oil on a flat pan and fry the dry prawns till brown and crisp. Keep aside.
  • Fry the garlic and red chillies well in a little oil. Then add the onion and fry for 2 more minutes. Remove from flame and cool.
  • Grind the fried masala along with the coconut, tamarind and salt to a paste. Pound the fried prawns to a dry coarse powder. Add to the fried masala paste. Mix and serve.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams Dry prawns cleaned, washed and dried
  • 10 - 12 Red chillies
  • 75 grams Coconut, grated
  • 10 - 12 cloves Garlic crushed     
  • 1 Onion finely chopped    
  • Lemon- sized ball Tamarind
  • Cooking oil as required
  • Salt to taste
