BUTTERSCOTCH SAUCE

Preparation Method :

  • Combine all the ingredients except butter and essence in a heavy-based saucepan.
  • Cook, stirring until the mixture thickens over low heat for about 15-20 minutes.
  • Remove from the heat, stir in the butter and vanilla until smooth.
  • Butterscotch sauce can be kept refrigerated for a month.

INGREDIENTS

  • 220 grams caster sugar
  • 150 ml evaporated milk
  • 4 tablespoon light golden syrup
  • 150 grams light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
