SPINACH AND BACON SALAD

Preparation Time :
45 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Finely chop the bacon and place in a heavy-based frying pan (skillet) over a low heat. Cook slowly until the fat begins to run and bacon pieces are crisp.
  • Meanwhile wash and drain the spinach, removing white stalks and tearing the green part into smallish pieces.
  • Place in a serving bowl. Heat the oil and butter in another pan and when foam subsides, cook the bread, turning frequently, until crisp.
  • When the salad is ready to serve, add the croutons to the spinach then pour on the hot bacon and fat.
  • Quickly toss and serve.

INGREDIENTS

  • 200 gram fatty bacon, sliced    
  • 500 gram fresh spinach
  • 2 tablespoon Cooking oil  
  • 30 grams butter    
  • 2 slice white bread, diced
