PERSIAN RICE SALAD

20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Add the cooked rice with the rest of the ingredients except the oil, walnuts and chives in a large bowl.
  • Then add the oil gradually while mixing the salad.
  • Serve the salad at room temperature garnish with walnuts and chives.

INGREDIENTS

  • 220 grams basmati rice, cooked
  • 75 grams walnuts, toasted, chopped
  • 2 spring onions, finely chopped
  • 40 grams raisins
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, finely chopped
  • 50 ml Cooking oil
  • 30 grams golden raisins
  • ½ teaspoon cumin, ground
  • 1 tablespoon pine nuts
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg powder
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoon chives, finely chopped
