OKRA CURD SALAD (VENDAKKAI THAIR PACHADI )

Preparation Time :
15 minutes

Cooking Time :
10 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil, when hot add all the ingredients for tempering.
  • When the mustard seeds splutter, add the okra. Cook on low heat till the vegetable is tender.
  • Sprinkle in the salt and cook for a minute. Allow the vegetable to cool.
  • Add the curd and blend well.
  • Serve cold or at room temperature.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams okra , Top and tail the okra and slice fine.
  • Salt to taste
  • 150 grams fresh curd, whisked

Tempering

  • 1 teaspoon black gram dal
  • 1 teaspoon Bengal gram dal
  • 1 dry red chilli, halved
  • 2 teaspoon Cooking oil
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • ¼ teaspoon asafoetida powder
  • A few curry leaves
